Separate family-photo retrieval from book selection

Organizing family photos for a book needs a retrieval plan and a selection plan. Use dates to limit a period and tags to collect a topic among your saved records. Then compare similar images within each occasion instead of mixing every candidate into one book. This workflow does not promise automatic access to relatives’ devices, face recognition or a complete cleanup of a computer’s photo folders.

Fictional composition example

In this fictional example, a person searches saved family records for two separate outings. A tag locates the topic, but dates keep the outings distinct. They compare repeated portraits within each outing and choose one that serves the story. The result is a planned book selection, not a claimed automatic cleanup of anyone’s device.

  1. Define a date range and select relevant tags from the available choices for the records you stored.
  2. Review each occasion separately, choose photos for the book and check the automatic placement before editing text and crops.
  3. Read the PDF for accidental mixing of occasions and use your own notes to clarify any transition between different dates.
Can the service search relatives’ devices?

This workflow searches the records you saved in the service. It does not promise access to other devices.

How can I keep two outings separate?

Use tags to find a topic, then check dates and compare pictures within each occasion before selecting them.

Does this automatically recognise family faces?

No automatic recognition is described here. Date ranges and the available tags provide the retrieval plan.
