Give each photo a clear role in a book collage

A photo book collage should combine related scenes, not shrink every photograph until none is readable. Decide which image carries the main event and which images provide supporting details. Select those saved records, use automatic layout as a starting point and adjust photo and text placement yourself. This is page composition from your own content, not an AI image generator or a tool that invents new pictures.

Fictional composition example

In this fictional example, a picnic page uses one broad view and two close details of the activity. The author keeps a short explanation near the broad image and leaves out another similar close-up. Looking at the result in PDF reveals that an overly small detail is unhelpful, so the selection is simplified.

  1. Group records that belong to one scene and choose a main photo before adding supporting images.
  2. Inspect the generated page and manually adjust the relative sizes and text so the main subject stays visible.
  3. Open the PDF to check each image at reading size and remove a supporting photo if it makes the page too crowded.
How many supporting photos should I add?

Add a supporting image only when it contributes a different detail and is readable at the final size. There is no need to fill all available space.

Does this create new photos with AI?

No. This workflow arranges your saved photos and your writing on book pages.

What if the collage looks crowded in the PDF?

Reduce the selection or adjust photo and text sizes in the book, then inspect a new download at reading size.
