Arrange dated photo records into a readable album

Arranging photos in an album by date is different from putting files into a folder. Decide whether readers should follow recorded days or a sequence of events, then find the saved photo and text records for that range. Verify the dates you have entered instead of assuming the app extracts or repairs camera timestamps. Place short context notes at transitions so the sequence remains understandable when some days have no selected photos.

Fictional composition example

In this fictional example, a weekend album has records from Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. The writer orders them by the dates of the saved entries and adds one line to explain the overnight change. Several shots from Saturday are reduced to a representative scene; no invented entry is added for the missing morning.

  1. Search the recorded date range and check that each candidate belongs to the period you intend.
  2. Select the records and examine their order in the generated book, moving photos and text manually where required.
  3. Read the PDF from beginning to end and check that gaps in the dates do not imply events that never appear in your notes.
Does the app fix camera timestamps?

This guide uses dates you saved with the records. Check those dates yourself rather than assuming camera timestamps are extracted or repaired.

Must I fill every missing day?

No. Use a short transition where needed; a gap does not require an invented photograph or entry.

Is this a way to sort computer folders?

The described workflow selects saved photos and text for a book. It is separate from organising files in a device folder.
